Changes at Glenroyal Hotel due to Covid-19

Due to the current coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic, the Glenroyal Hotel is taking the necessary measures to help ensure the protection and safety of our guests and team members.

We will continually follow all health and safety guidelines from the Irish Government and other agencies in operations. As a result, certain services and amenities may be reduced or unavailable as a result. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you in advance for understanding the necessary precautions we must take to keep everyone and our community safe.

Glenroyal Leisure Club

Due to Covid-19 restrictions on capacity of numbers at one time and to guarantee your time schedule it is essential to pre-book 24 hours in advance of your arrival to get access to both the swimming pool or gym by contacting the tram at Glenroyal Leisure Club via email or calling directly on 01 6291313.

Please note that our Peak and most requested times are 6am-9am and 6pm to 9pm and will be subject to availability. Scheduled times:
6.00am to 7.30am
8.00am to 9.30am
10.00am to 11.30am
12.00pm to 1.30pm
2.00pm to 3.30pm
4.00pm to 5.30pm
6.00pm to 7.30pm
8.00pm to 9.30pm

Following each session, there will be a deep clean of all equipment, public areas and changing rooms. An announcement will be made 10 minutes before the end of every session to advise guests to vacate the area.

In the wake of current Government advice, showers, Jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms remain closed at this time.

Lenny Lion’s Kids Club

Our Lenny Lions' Kids Club playroom is operating slightly different this year in order to allow for social distancing:
• Operating Friday– Sunday only (may be subject to change)
• Pre-booking basis on arrival
• Supervised basis for a 45-minute period
• Maximum 2 families in the room at any given time-frame – this is subject to availability and depending on numbers. Maximum 6 children in the room at any time frame.

Please note that the minimum age for attending the Kids Club is 4 years of age and the maximum age is 12 years of age.

As per the Government roadmap, hotel bars will not reopen before 31st August.

If you have booked a table for dinner you can have drinks served to your table while you are dining. There is no other option at present for drink only service.

Dinner is served between 5.00pm and 9.00pm and pre-booking is essential. Visit or contact to book your table.

Dining is restricted to maximum 6 persons per table and customers are required to vacate their table after 1hr45m (105min)

We are encouraging all customers to use contactless payment where possible.

Please note that there is no Room Service available at present.

Social Distancing

Please adhere to social distancing when indoors and using common/dining areas. There will be markers in public areas and we would ask you to please cooperate with both them and our team members requests for social distancing.

Wearing face masks is not mandatory but would be very much appreciated in enclosed spaces.

Hand Sanitiser

Hand sanitisers are provided throughout the hotel for customers and staff. We would ask you to avail of these as much as possible.

Check-In & Check-Out

Please use the sanitisation stations provided at the entrance/exits to the hotel.

Adhere to the social distancing at all times.

Only one person for each room/group should approach the Reception desk to check in.

Full payment will be taken on arrival by contactless payment where possible.


In addition to the high standard room cleaning practices, we have enhanced our guest bedrooms cleaning protocols in line with our new sanitisation programme adapted by our housekeeping teams in preparation for your arrival.

Specific attention given to all touch points, e.g. remote controls, handles, switches, in-room safes, amenities tray, glassware, etc.

Some furnishing & non-essential items will be removed from our guest bedrooms so we can ensure the highest level of cleanliness.

Linens will be handled with extreme care to prevent raising dust & potential contamination.

Linen washed at 75+ degrees through our external laundry supplier.

Bedroom servicing during your stay will be limited in order to ensure everyone’s safety.
