Welcome to Arkle Bar, featuring cosy plush 1920s decor alongside photos and artwork of the great Irish racing legend, Arkle. Arkle (19 April 1957 – 31 May 1970) was an Irish bay gelding thoroughbred racehorse. He was known to have a great way with people and stole the hearts of many across the world. Because Kildare’s notoriety for thoroughbreds, Arkle Bar was named after its most famous horse who was known to be extremely gentle, full of old charm, and great spirit.
Open Monday to Thursday from 3pm to late and Friday to Sunday from 12pm to late. Bar Bites available daily from 3pm.
