Arkle Bar features cosy plush 1920s decor alongside photos and artwork of the great Irish racing legend, Arkle. Arkle (19 April 1957 – 31 May 1970) was an Irish bay gelding thoroughbred racehorse. He was known to have a great way with people and stole the hearts of many across the world. Because of Kildare’s notoriety for thoroughbreds, Arkle Bar was named after this famous Irish horse who was known to be extremely gentle, full of old charm, and great spirit.
