Naas Racecourse was formed in 1922 in the heart of the Thoroughbred County of Kildare, with the first meeting at the course held on June 19th 1924. The course is left-handed with stages for both Flat Racing and National Hunt Racing. Naas Racecourse staged eighteen race meetings in 2018 with a range of Grade National Hunt races and Group Flat Races being amongst the eighteen.
Naas Racecourse comes with an abundance of facilities, creating the perfect recipe for a memorable day for all guests. While Naas Racecourse is central to the racing calendar every year, it also hosts a number of events aside from top class horse racing throughout the year. Some of these events include Family Fun Days, Summer Barbeque Evenings, Live Music Events as well as the ritual event of Ladies Day taking place on Race Days throughout the year.
Its location acts as the perfect meeting point for jockeys and spectators to venture. With easy access from the M7 motorway Naas Racecourse is easy to access from every point in Ireland, be that Cork, Limerick or Dublin, which is only 18 miles away.
Naas Racecourse is only a short 30 minute drive from Glenroyal Hotel & Leisure Club. To drive there from our hotel, head west and turn right towards Straffan Road. At this point, turn left to join onto Straffan Road and continue onwards until you meet a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit and stay on Straffan Road. Continue onwards until you meet another roundabout where you will again take the second exit onto Barberstown Road. Continue driving down the length of Straffan Road before meeting roundabouts that will bring you onto the N7. Exit from Junction 9 to which Naas Racecourse will be sign posted, directing you to their front door.
